Projects
Mental health is an extremely important aspect of well-being that goes largely ignored and even dismissed. In my human computer interaction course, I worked with a team to develop an app prototype that helps users improve their mental health. It allows users to be aware of their mood via mood journaling as well as, keeping tabs on the user’s medication and doctor’s appointments. We had an emphasis on communication -- allowing users to quickly and directly message their therapists.

Membership Sites
While working at Brighten Your World I was able to gain knowledge and experience in website building. BYW is an establishment promoting microcirculation via BEMER technology. The business owners had their own versions of the main websites and I was responsible for many of the edits on the site. Working with a team, I developed my time management skills in order to complete multiple membership sites on Kartra.

Drug Discovery Independent Project
While enrolled in my university's Course Based Research Experience lab, I learned lab techniques and developed my research expertise. In this course, I worked with a team to test a potential antagonist against Salmonella. In this lab, I learned to research, develop, and present our hypothesis at a symposium attended by our peers. I worked with excel to analyze data and learned research techniques.

Summer Reading Program
While part of the Teen Advisory Board at my local library, I worked with a team to design a reading program for the library's patrons. We met weekly to discuss elements such as the activities and milestones in the program as well as to conceptualize and create an ad for the program. in this experience, I learned time management and project devlopment.

Agent 355
While in high school, I had the opportunity to participate in the National History Day competition in which I learned historical research techniques. My friend and I worked as a team to research a historical figure for the theme: Exploration, Encounter, and Exchange and to present that research to judges and peers. Our topic was a female spy, Agent 355, who was active during the American Revolution. We were one of the four projects chosen to move on to the state district round.
